Description and diagnostic features   

   It is an orchid that lives high up on the branches of  big trees in the northern part of the Kruger national park.

It’s roots point up and outwards to catch bird dropping that it collects for nourishment.

 

Part used     

  Stems of the plant.

    

Uses                

  It is mainly used for controlling and owning a shop and or family. It is turned into charcoal and mixed with oil and rubbed in scarified skin.


Warning          


Habitat             

It grows on the vertical branches of big trees where it is out of reach of grazing animals. It is often seen high up on large Mopani trees.


Propagation    

Separate stems can be tied to a supportive tree to grow and multiply.
